Results 1 to 3 of 3. Thread: Help!! Sled Fouling Plugs Need help!! Got a trip planned leaving on Sunday 12h drive. My RMK is fouling both plugs about every 5 miles, a couple times it was less then that. Gone through 4 or 5 sets already.
The sled only has miles and about 50 miles this season. A couple times it first fouled one side, then very shortly after the other side as well. Twice when I let it idle for a while after driving a couple miles the sled just completely died almost like you would hit the kill switch. Change the plugs and it runs perfectly again for another couple miles. Ran a data log with the bullydog and MTNTK said everything looks good as far as the mapping is concerned.
TPS is good, settings are within spec and no spike in voltage in any throttle position. Both spark plug caps and wires looked good so trimmed the wires and reinstalled caps. What could be causing this? I desperately want to get it going today or tomorrow in time for our trip!! Premium Advertiser. Re: Help!! Sled Fouling Plugs Oil pump stuck wide open? I would assume it also smokes real bad and burns lots of oil, check the linkage from the throttle bodies to oil pump.
This is assuming that its not fuel related as this should show up with more significant drive-ability issues. Sled Fouling Plugs I will deFinetly check that. Iv only burnt through half a tank of gas so tough to say how much oil it uses. Bookmarks Bookmarks Digg del.Forums New posts Search forums. Media New media New comments Search media.

He knows I have a camera and older sleds as well as the new 12 PRO.
Here are the pictures, I can't see any difference but I know that doesn't mean anything with spark plugs. I have not been able to find any technical data on the differences, except that the plug is considered a racing plug. Here ya go MH, I suspect you know something about these spark plugs. The only differences appear to be the firing end construction and nickel alloy electrode. High Velocity said:. Bagger Well-known member Lifetime Membership. Nov 26, 93 59 South Central WA.
Hey OS, thanks for the pics. I need to pick up plugs for this year yet, so I'm trying to find out info. To my mock 1 mod 0 eyeball the new plug looks just a hair longer. I hate to disagree but that engine is designed to run a projected tip plug. Havesledwilltravel Free Member. Dec 4, 48 28 Alberta, Canada. Obviously they are designed to run the bpr plug, but polaris also designed them to idle like ass unless they are adjusted just right so im sure theres room for improvement.Learn more about Dennis Kirk.

New GR NGK spark plugs for the 12 PRO RMK 800
Hi, my Polaris Switchback Assualt won't start. I've tried everything I can think of, including taking out the plugs and dragging to see if it was getting too much gas. It's really cold today, can that be part of the problem? My plugs were soaked when I changed them, I have plenty of oil and gas and the spark is ok. I managed to start it once with the electrical start but it died again almost instantly.Parasites korean full movies 123movies english subtitle
Can someone please help me? Don't know what I'll do without my snow mobile.

Sara MjeldeMar 18, Messages: Try holding it wide open while starting. Funny, I had the same issue with mine today. Held it wide open and it started right up. PowatonMar 18, I've had that same problem a few times. Held the throttle wide open and it lit the first pull however one plug fouled once. BigfuseMar 18, Same here. Odd that an injected motor would flood, but mine did once last week. Wide open and pull the cord. OttawaairMar 18, I glanced across something about that in the manual. It was like turn off ,pull a couple times, turn on then pull with flipper to the bar.
Like a reset. All Polaris 's do this in extreme cold. Hold the throttle.Mysql username wordlist

Has anyone experienced their plugs fouling out quickly on my xp, if you have any ideas what to check please let me know, i'm frustrated with the problem Thanks in Advance Mark in Michigan. What color is the fouled plug when you pull it? Any pictures of them? DaveJan 4, Is this machine stock? No intake, exhaust, snorkels? Fouled plugs are typically a rich condition, but can also be from oil. Any run issues at all other than fouling plugs? SeastackerJan 4, Could be a rich indicator as others have suggested, I'm personally wondering the condition of your gas?
Is it an ethanol mix? DieselFumeJan 4, Unit is stock as far as I know, i'm the 3rd owner, I run Premium Gas 93 octane. Here's a picture of the Champion plugs that were in it when I bought it last summer, also Picture of the next set of NGK plugs that I put in, they both fouled out as well as the set that's still in it. Any Help solving the problem will be greatly appreciated Top View Spark Plugs. End View Spark Plugs. From the pics they do not appear to be fuel fouled or they would be very dark almost black.
I would be checking your ignition system to be sure your getting a hot spark. I sometimes use a spark gap tool that lets the spark jump a gap to see how strong it is and be sure it is nice and blue, orange colored sparks are weak. We use these in the marine industry all the time. I would also do a compression check to see the health of the engine. These are easy test and can tell a lot of the engines condition. Have you check to make sure you are running the correct plug?
DaveJan 8, I believe Your machine is rated for 87 octane. I know it sounds strange but running higher octane will increase your carbon deposits.
